Filter press working process
The entire working process of the belt filter press can be divided into three basic stages: sludge flocculation, gravity filter press filtration, gravity dehydration, and squeeze dehydration/dehydration.
1) Sludge flocculation
Before sludge is dewatered, it must first go through the flocculation process. Flocculation refers to using a flocculant (i.e. a polymer, a polymer electrolyte) to treat the suspension. After the flocculant is mixed with the sludge, the solid particles in the suspension The system causes the adhesive to condensate and separate the solid and liquid phases. The sludge is flocculated in the flocculation reactor, and the residence time of the sludge in the flocculation reactor is about 1 to 3 minutes.
2) Gravity dehydration
Through flocculation, gravity dehydration of the thickener is carried out when the sludge moisture content is 99.3%. The sludge moisture content can reach 95-98%. In order to reduce the fluidity of the sludge before pressing, more free water must be floated and gravity dewatered. The zone realizes this function. The sludge in the filter bag is not affected by external forces. The sludge load running section of the filter belt has a certain angle. With the friction coefficient between the filter belt and the muddy water, the mud filter belt drags the line upward and downward. , there is a process of water accumulating sludge, which relatively prolongs the gravity dehydration time, which is conducive to the release of free water. The sludge returns to squeeze the filter bag in the reverse direction and enters two belt compactors. It operates randomly in a single filter. Its function is to empty the sludge and evenly distribute it on the surface of the filter belt for further dehydration.
3) Pressing and dehydration
The sludge is dehydrated by gravity. As the belt moves, it enters the wedge-shaped pressing section between the filter belts, where it is compressed and dehydrated. Part of the free water on the surface of the sludge is removed, and then it enters the "S"-shaped pressing section of seven rollers. Due to the The reduction of mud and the bending shear force generated by multiple viscosity forces between the filter belts squeeze out the free water inside.
